Last year's night race is 100% the best to go off of as rain had washed most of the grip off the track but the race was still very exciting overall.
"I feel like it would still be really fast up there (in the top lane), it's just nobody is courageous enough to go up there and work in the groove", Larson said. Nine drivers ended up missing qualifying, which by some could be viewed as an advantage as the cars get to start on fresh tires.
"We're actually potty training right now", Larson said to the Weaver bunch, drawing a round of giggles from the students who gleefully held up their cellphones to record every word from the driver. "They tell me go here, I go there".
Following the Easter break, it will be interesting to see if Jimmie Johnson can make it two wins in a row, or if Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Danica Patrick can start moving upward in the points race for the season.
Starting next to Larson on the front row will be Chase Elliot... In the last four races at Dover, Martin Truex Jr. owns the highest driver rating paired with a great 6.75 average finish.
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series points leader understands the reasoning behind the application of an adhesive product to the lower portion of the track. His average starting position is 16.9, his average finish 20.9. But, perhaps strangely, Busch hasn't won at the track since 2011.
"This is a ideal style of track to think about when you're a dirt racer", he said.
"I've had fun at Bristol, and, at times, not so much fun, but I feel like it's one of those tracks that really plays into people that have raced on dirt a lot of their life", she said.

Connor McDavid scores first National Hockey League playoff goal
It was the first playoff game in the Oilers' new downtown arena and the team's first postseason game in nearly 11 years. The Oilers , as well as Edmonton police, said fans were respectful and generally well-behaved during and after Game 1 .
However, his current form makes him someone to consider this week.
Larson won at Fontana from the pole in the No. 42 Chevrolet and started first a week later at Martinsville.
Larson made his first appearance in front of the Weaver group, which has been making field trips to BMS and meeting drivers for 19 years under the direction of fifth-grade teacher Janet Rush. Some favorites include the Penske Team of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski, Stewart-Hass Racing's Kevin Harvick and Joe Gibb's top driver Kyle Busch.
It's not that Kyle Larson isn't a fan of the sticky substance put down on the racing surface at Bristol Motor Speedway. You've got to pack the track a little bit. Next up are Clint Bowyer and Paul Menard who come $2,000 apart.
A native of tiny Byron, MI - population 500 - the soon-to-be 21-year-old is a NASCAR Cup rookie both this season and at the so-called "World's Fastest Half-Mile", yet he's anything but a newcomer to Bristol. Keselowski also has two wins at Bristol Speedway but struggled here last season.
Defending series champion Simon Pagenaud dueled wheel-to-wheel with Graham Rahal to take the win past year while both Ryan Hunter-Reay and Pagenaud's Team Penske teammate Will Power have each won here twice. He has raced in all three of NASCAR's national series - Cup, Xfinity and trucks - since then. He has now seen his salary drop $100 as he comes back to a track he did pretty darn well at in his rookie season. The past three times he raced there, his average finish was 33.3, and he finished at best five laps off the pace.
"It's nice to come back for an actual weekend where we can adjust on the auto and I can experience the track and get some time on it". Chances are 40-50 percent, depending on which meteorologist you trust, the race will run late Sunday night or even Monday.
