Former 'Bachelor' Chris Soules Arrested After Leaving The Scene Of A Deadly Car Accident

Chris Soules is arrested after 'killing driver of tractor'

Chris Soules, who starred on Season 19 of "The Bachelor", was arrested Monday night following a fatal auto crash, the Buchanan County Jail confirmed to the Des Moines Register. KWWL News 7 reports that the victim killed was 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher.

According to Iowa State Patrol spokesman Sgt. Scott Bright's statement to the Des Moines Register, Soules left the truck and went north on foot, where he was found and arrested.

According to the criminal complaint, obtained by ET, the general probable cause lists "admission/statements, caused property damage, operating motor vehicles, possessed alcoholic beverage/containers, identified by witnesses, near scene of crime and caused personal injury".

People reports that Soules has not been charged with driving under the influence. The Buchanan County Attorney says before law enforcement could get to the scene, Soules had allegedly left the scene. The sheriff's office also said that because the investigation is ongoing, further charges may be pending.

According to The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred near Aurora, Iowa on Monday (Apr. 24) night at 8 pm.

Soules was born in Arlington, Iowa, and first rose to fame in 2014 after placing third in the 10th season of ABC's "The Bachelorette".

We are excited but this is football, you have to concentrate until the last minute and we will see. On Friday, we have an opportunity to win and to take a title".

Some in Arlington, where Soules is from, say they're disappointed in Chris Soules' behavior.

Neither Soules or anyone connected to the Iowan has commented on last night's arrest or his current status as of early this morning.

In 2015, Bachelor Chris Soules captured the hearts of many when he went on an epic journey for true love (or something like that). He is in the Buchanan County jail, in the case of hit and run.

Chris Soules was released from jail on Tuesday afternoon on $10,000 bail. And instead of getting a rose, he got his own show, as the network made a decision to secure him at The Bachelor for season 19.

After 30 women attempted to woo him, Soules proposed to Whitney Bischoff at his family's barn in the season finale. He also appeared on Dancing with the Stars and has continued to be in the public eye as an advocate for agriculture issues.
