Antonio Conte hopes Chelsea wrap up Premier League title at West Brom

Antonio Conte wants Chelsea to claim the Premier League title at the first opportunity at West Brom on Friday.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois believes lifting the Premier League title with this season would be all the more satisfying after last term's implosion. Here's a look at how some of the Blues' key performers in the victory over Boro - namely Alonso, Azpilicueta and Pedro - reacted to the huge win on Twitter...

With Tottenham putting up nine straight wins before their loss to West Ham on Friday, Chelsea were pressured by Spurs, but the win over Middlesbrough means it would take a collapse of epic proportions if the Blues were to miss out on the title. "It's about Middlesbrough Football Club and how we can turn it around next season to get this club back where it belongs".

Costa has yet to score at the Hawthorns during his three year spell in England but with Chelsea a win away from the title and the striker just four goals away from the Golden Boot, he will be hungry to get on the scoresheet.

Fabregas became the first player in the history of the Premiership who had 10 or more assists in 6 different seasons.

It was the Baggies who derailed Tottenham's title quest at White Hart Lane a year ago when a 1-1 draw handed Spurs a blow they could not recover from with three to play.

Fabregas initially struggled for starts under Conte, but the Italian hailed the midfielder after he set up goals for Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic - either side of Marcos Alonso's effort.

Conte, who is chasing the double in his first season as boss, says his players should enjoy the moment. It was a great performance, my players showed commitment, work-rate for three important points. Scoring goals wins football matches and we haven't done that enough this season.

It was a contrasting emotion in the visitors dressing room, a place Middlesbrough boss Steve Agnew described as "very silent" following the final whistle.

"It's great for me, it's great for my players and it's great for the club to see this atmosphere".

Wenger's teams have been renowned for playing possession-based games, but Chelsea are sixth in that statistic this season with 54.2 per cent.
