Establishing a link between the suspect and the couple would help authorities uncover a potential motive for the killings, which took place Friday.

And yet, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley told reporters Monday that "there is no evidence whatsoever at this point" that proves Teixiera knew Field and Bolanos, People reported.

Police said that there was no information so far in the investigation connecting Teixeira to Bolanos and Field.

"This is an incredibly hard time for our entire community", the email added, according to People.

Bampumim Teixeira, 30, is charged with murder in the deaths of Dr. Lina Bolanos and Dr. Richard Field on Friday night at the Macallen Building in South Boston. The killer had left cut-up photos of the couple and a message of retribution. The couple was planning to get married this year; police say it was all taken away by a former concierge of their building.

Teixeira has been charged with two counts of murder and pleaded not guilty to each count.

A 30-year-old Chelsea man is charged with murdering the two doctors and is now being held without bail after being arraigned in hospital bed at Tufts Medical Center on Monday.

But the terms allowed Teixeira to skirt the federal law that governs which immigrants can be deported in very specific ways. If convicted, the maximum sentence Teixeira would face is life in prison without the possibility of parole.

His attorney entered not-guilty pleas on Teixeira's behalf.

The suspect allegedly told police a gunman in the building was prepared to fire at them, Pappas said.

Boston Police said they were called by the apartment block's front desk at 8.40pm.

Police arrested Bampumim Teixeira. His reportedly finished his sentence around April 14.

Both robberies saw Teixeira threatening to go on a shooting spree inside the bank if he wasn't supplied with money.

Teixeira has two previous larceny convictions, according according to Suffolk County District Attorney's Office spokesman Jake Wark.

Teixeira obtained a green card in 2010.

"ICE has no legal position with regard to this individual at this time, although we will continue to monitor the matter in case his criminal charges change his legal disposition", an ICE official told TheDCNF.

The condo complex is secure, with a key fob needed for access, the source said.
