Cleveland Cavaliers set up Golden State Warriors rematch

Higher power: LeBron soaring into 7th straight NBA Finals

In 7th straight Finals, LeBron intensifies 'greatest' debate

Andre Iguodala (2015) and LeBron James (2016) have claimed MVP honors.

The Celtics need another scorer to help take the pressure off Thomas and Al Horford if they wish to contend with the likes of the Cavs and Golden State Warriors.

An unprecedented Finals trilogy was finally set, and still, James had no interest or energy to engage the topic. "But in some ways, it nearly has to be the right thing, I guess, because so much is just kind of fluff and stupid, for lack of a better word".

James needed 28 points heading into the game to surpass Jordan, who had 5,987 points, and he reached the magic number late in the third quarter with a three-point jump shot. "I want the fundamentals of the game to be as great as they can be, and if some kid or a group of kids from the West Coast or the East Coast or the Midwest or the South and everything in-between, all around the world can look at me and say, 'Well, I made the extra pass because LeBron made the extra pass, ' or 'I got a chase-down block and I didn't give up on the play because LeBron didn't give up, ' that would mean the world to me".

And just like the previous two series, the Warriors are the favorites to bring home the NBA Championship.

"It's just my personal goal to keep me motivated, that's all", James said.

US consumer spending, incomes grew solidly in April
In January, incomes were up 0.6 percent, in February, they were up 0.5 percent, and in March, they increased 0.2 percent. When adjusted for inflation, consumer spending rose 0.2% last month after advancing 0.5% in March.

James scored 35 points, passing Michael Jordan on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list along the way, and Kyrie Irving had 24 for Cleveland.

To be sure, "Air Jordan" still reigns over "King James". With a Golden State win two years ago, and the Cavs staging a comeback last year, this provides the ultimate stage to settle the score. "So that's the first thing I picked". But does he deserve to draw legitimate comparisons to Jordan?

But he finally conceded in a nod to the significance of the milestone. "And if and when we get to that point, I want to annihilate them". Along with the concussion that Love suffered in Game 2, the versatile Green was the root of Love's troubles as a less mobile big man. Love averaged just 8.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in the six games he played, but capped the series with nine points, 14 rebounds, two steals and a crucial stop on the perimeter against Steph Curry in Game 7. "I've never been patient in my life so this is going to be a tough summer". "Obviously I coached him, so there's maybe a little bit more that I may know on his personal side about him, but in terms of him as a basketball player, everybody has knowledge of what he can do on the floor". He's still a few thousand behind Jordan's regular-season point total, too.

James is a one-man history-making machine himself. Just getting to that point, you know how hard it is and how much work you put in to start the season. "It doesn't matter to me".

"For my name to come up in a discussion with the greatest basketball player of all-time is like, wow", James told reporters after the game. He's now third with 1,439. I wore a leg sleeve on my leg and folded it down so you could see the red part. "But I definitely wasn't trying to hear that at that point in time".

With the unblemished Warriors waiting, James opted to douse them in accolades rather than cast any barbs.
