Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant look to build a Warriors dynasty

Fact: It's frankly awesome that James has been to seven straight Finals with two different teams and eight Finals altogether. The 7-foot (2.13 m) small forward and 2017 Finals MVP has said that after his controversial decision leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and join the Warriors last offseason, he is not eager to move again. Obviously the best team in the league for the last three years, the best team this year. Is it Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? He hugged his Bill Russell Trophy, he smelled of Champagne, he admitted he might celebrate much of the summer. Yet, moments after the confetti stopped falling in Oakland, California, the 'Bron-Lost-the-Big-One-Again chatter began to grow in disturbing numbers and volume on social media. It makes for a fun and sometimes heated arguments, but there is no right answer.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were too much for LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to handle, with the Golden State Warriors taking Game 5 129-120 and the National Basketball Association championship at Oracle Arena on Monday night.

It was an efficient effort, too. The Cavs offense stagnated during that stretch as Cleveland missed 9 of 11 shots from the field, turned the ball over three times and had two missed free throws from Kevin Love. Some games where Steph is going to go off and hit 13 threes or Klay might hit 60 (points) or Draymond might get a triple-double with no points. The Cavs needed James on the court for nearly the entire game just to have a chance to win.

"I left everything on the floor every game, all five games", James said. "I just had to trust in it, we were really good tonight", Durant said in a post-game interview. "You can talk about whatever happens on the outside, but inside those lines, I come to bring it every day", Durant said.

This was James' eight Finals appearance, and his seventh consecutive, joining an elite group of Boston Celtics players from the 1950s and 1960s to play in seven straight Finals.

For reference, no other Warriors' player was better than plus-50, and LeBron James, as Herculean a performance as he put on in the Finals, was minus-6 for the series.

In his postgame news conference, he was not deflated but he wasn't content with the outcome. I'm happy for him.

Officers were sent to the scene to assist colleagues from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) and the London Ambulance Service (LAS). Michael said he had escaped in his boxer shorts through smoky corridors carrying his daughter wrapped in a dressing gown.

"Probably the main reason I wanted to walk away from basketball", West wrote in his biography West by West: My Charmed, Tormented Life, "was that I honestly didn't think I could endure any more pain". The defence wasn't set and the offence was stuttering (other than James of course who ended the night with a respectable 28 points).

For all the lovely basketball that had been played between these two teams in the past two Finals, there was always an asterisk tacked on to the result.

Green had sat out this very game a year ago, suspended because of flagrant foul point accumulation after he swiped at James' groin in Game 4. "But nobody cared, as long as we won".

"LeBron and Kyrie I've never seen nothing like them two before". You put clothes on our backs.

James' work ethic has clearly rubbed off on fellow franchise cornerstone Kyrie Irving. But some front offices have undergone recent overhauls, and more of that could be on the way - especially if Cleveland does not retain GM David Griffin, whose contract with the Cavs is expiring.

Durant's stellar play all season and throughout the playoffs vindicated Golden State's massive payout to the superstar in a controversial off-season deal.
