The franchise also let him go after one season after he reeled in 32 catches for 549 yards and 4 TDs as a rookie. He was dismissed because of legal troubles in April 2014 and transferred to Oklahoma. The 40th overall pick from the 2015 Draft will eventually join his third National Football League franchise in as many years, having yet to make good on the superb athleticism which made him a five-star recruit and early draft pick.

Green-Beckham, 24, joined the Eagles last August in a training-camp trade with the Tennessee Titans for offensive tackle Dennis Kelly.

Drops and dedication on and off the field would ultimately lead to the Titans trading the receiver after one year to the Philadelphia Eagles. Working with rookie quarterback Carson Wentz, sophomore Green-Beckham was an incredible headache making only two touchdown catches.

Several drivers stopped to help the plane's two occupants before firefighters arrived to douse the flames and treat the injured. CBS Los Angeles reports that John Wayne Airport has been shut down to arrivals in the aftermath of the crash.

Green-Beckham's lack of success has been surprising. Green-Beckham is three years younger than Jeffery and four years younger than Smith.

Don't be surprised when a receiver-needy team takes a chance on the talented DGB in the coming weeks and months, after all, talent has never been his issue. As of Friday, Green-Beckham is looking for a new employer after he was placed on waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles.

If this recent release doesn't wake up the former high school star receiver, nothing ever will.
