2 women involved in deadly shootout with police

A police chase ended with a fatal shootout in Denver, KDVR reported.

No officers were hit, but one suspect was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Archer confirmed some details of initial accounts about what happened, as shared with us earlier today by a DPD spokesperson - but other elements have shifted. Their names have not been released.

The vehicle crashed and more shots were fired. Police say it's under investigation whether or not the suspects shot back.

Disney Removing Wench Auction From Pirates of the Caribbean
Disney said the same change will also be made on the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland in California. But the fact that those scenes were updated while the bride auction remained intact rankled some even more.

No officers were hurt in the incident that began with a carjacking around midnight Thursday in the nearby community of Littleton.

Northbound Santa Fe Drive was closed between West Iowa Avenue and West Mississippi Avenue. Englewood officers became involved when the chase passed through their jurisdiction.

This led to another PIT maneuver near West Louisiana Avenue and Bannock Street, which was successful at stopping the vehicle. And eastbound MS is closed at Santa Fe. When police spotted the vehicle, the pursuit went through Englewood before stopping in Denver with the shots being fired.

Investigators say sometime after the vehicle stopped, officers fired their weapons.
