Kansas City 4, Los Angeles 1.

The Kansas City Royals are beginning to look like a challenger in the American League Central.

The Los Angeles Dodgers out scored the Kansas City Royals 4-1 Friday night, ending the Royals 4 game winning streak.

The Dodgers swept the Royals for the first time in franchise history, and completed their 10 series sweep of the season, four more than the entire total from the 2016 NLCS season.

Roger Federer cruises into fourth round of Wimbledon
Federer is 4-0 in their previous matchups, taking all nine sets, including a 6-0, 6-0 victory on grass at Halle, Germany, in 2013. British players have been in these quarter-finals of the men's and women's singles on only two occasions in the Open era.

The Royals and Dodgers play again Saturday with Ian Kennedy on the mound for the Royals. He rolled through the Royals lineup Sunday with only one mistake - a two-run home run by Eric Hosmer in the fourth inning that grazed center fielder Trayce Thompson's outstretched glove as it just cleared the fence. LAD starter Brandon McCarthy gave up a run on six hits and a pair of bases on balls before Brandon Morrow and Pedro Baez allowed runs that eventually sent this team to extra innings.

Kershaw allowed two runs and six hits, striking out 13 and walking none to improve to 14-2 with a 2.18 ERA on the season.

Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Trayce Thompson can not reach a ball hit for a two-run home run by Kansas City Royals' Eric Hosmer during the fourth inning of a baseball game, Sunday, July 9, 2017, in Los Angeles.

The Dodgers have been on a roll and with Kershaw on the hill I think the good times continue onSunday...
