Sasikala Natarajan gets 5-day parole to visit ailing husband



Bengaluru jail authorities then discussed with higher officials about conditions imposed by Chennai police and agreed to grant her a 5-day parole.

There are also reports that she would be confined to her house and allowed to travel only to and fro the hospital.

Sasikala had reportedly submitted an emergency parole form on Thursday, along with a medical certificate of her husband M Natarajan.

"Rs 1,000 surety also has been deposited", he added. With more details and supporting documents, she was asked to resubmit another application.

Sasikala is expected to leave for Chennai with her nephew TTV Dhinakaran in the evening. She has been granted parole with conditions; she can not meet with anyone in Chennai and has to live at the home of her relative.

While in jail the former AIADMK leader courted controversy after senior officers of the prisons said she received special privileges in jail.

Around 100 supporters of Sasikala gathered outside the jail premises. He further said that if Sasikala agrees to all the conditions and signs the document, she will be out in half an hour.

Sasikala's parole conditions are that she can not meet with anyone in Chennai and has to live at the home of a relative.

Natarajan was put on a wait list for the transplant since April. Her husband has been hospitalised for the last nine months due to kidney and liver ailments. Sasikala will visit Chennai on Friday to meet her husband who underwent surgery on Thursday, according to The Times of India.
