New Bentley Continental GT3

Bentley has unveiled a brand-new GT3-spec Continental GT racing vehicle ahead of the 2018 racing season.

As for the road Bentley Continental GT, the third generation of the vehicle was presented to the public in August of this year, and the design of the model is not significantly different from last generation.

Bentley's new Continental GT3 race auto has been unveiled, and it takes after the newly redesigned Continental road vehicle. Teams running Continental GT3's have scored 120 podiums and 45 race victories in 528 races. Power comes from Bentley's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, redesigned with a new dry sump oiling system, a new intake system, a new exhaust system, and a Cosworth ECU. Unrestricted, it pushes out around 550 hp, sent to the rear wheels via a Ricardo six-speed sequential transmission.

The 2018 Continental GT3 racing auto has already undergone six months of testing ahead of the 2018 campaign, which includes the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup where Bentley Motorsport reign as the defending teams champions.

Saudi Arabia brings in Lebanon's Hariri from the cold
Saudi Arabia and its allies have been fighting the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen since 2015. Iran said previously that Hariri's resignation was motivated by the Saudis.

Exterior aerodynamic surfaces have been crafted in the wind tunnel and are based on the shape of the road vehicle, enhancing the muscular exterior panels with aerodynamic devices for additional downforce. The wind tunnel-generated aerodynamic structures are all new, as are the suspension and braking systems. Bentley collaborated with M-Sport on the racing model.

The all-new racecar has already started a six-month test programme to pick up the mantle from its championship-winning predecessor, completing test work in the UK, France and Portugal.

In the pages of European automobile magazines appeared the first official images of the new racing coupe Bentley Continental GT3.

Bentley Motorsport director Brian Gush says the Continental's previously successful DNA runs through this vehicle, though with changes everywhere to improve upon its base.
