If you enjoyed spending countless hours stumbling through public parks late at night playing Pokémon Go, we've got good news for you: there's a new game in the works. A boat that had become particularly leaky in the last few days, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will turn players into real world wizards and witches in much the same way Niantic's megahit Pokemon GO turned players into IRL Pokemon trainers.
Wizards Unite, which will be released next year, will look to tap into the franchise's massive and dedicated fan base to launch with the same hype as Pokémon GO.
The game release is expected in 2018, however, more specific terms are still kept secret.
Saudi Arabia brings in Lebanon's Hariri from the cold
Saudi Arabia and its allies have been fighting the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen since 2015. Iran said previously that Hariri's resignation was motivated by the Saudis.
Players will wander around different neighborhoods and cities, as they will embark on different adventures, learn and cast spells, discover mysterious artifacts, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters.
"With this game, we are allowing the passionate, worldwide fan base to experience J.K. Rowling's deeply powerful and imaginative universe in a new, truly immersive way", said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Players will move through their physical world to collect power-ups and defend locations (presumably, similar to Pokémon Go's gym system).
We probably won't find out anything else about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite until the first part of next year at the earliest.
