The thought of Washington repeating last year's run to the College Football Playoff wasn't all that outlandish entering Friday night's game at Stanford.

Washington vs. Stanford live stream, start time, betting odds and TV information for Friday night's game between the Huskies and Cardinal. Myles Gaskin was stuffed short, though, Stanford took over, and from there the old, physical bullies of the Pac-12 began to take over.

Washington wouldn't score again until well into the fourth quarter, and Stanford's offense began chugging.

"Explosives and third downs are always big things that show up", Petersen said. We play them next year on September 9 at Heinz Field and it'll be the 99th meeting between Pitt and Penn State.

That defense gets a massive test on Friday night, as it will have to find a way to slow down Bryce Love.

Philadelphia Eagles sign DT Tim Jernigan to four-year extension
Jernigan, 25, was signed to a one-year deal by the Eagles this offseason and has fit in perfectly in Philadelphia. With Cox and Jernigan in the fold, the Eagles are investing plenty of money in their defensive line.

Stanford: QB K.J. Costello.

The first time Love went off the field was after he passed Tyler Gaffney for eighth place on the school's all-time rushing list.

Costello finished 16-of-27 for 211 yards. With Bednarik Award semifinalist Vita Vea wrecking havoc in the trenches, the Huskies rank third in the nation in points allowed per game (11.6), third in yards allowed per game (252.0) and No. 1 in yards allowed per play (3.7). Junior quarterback Jake Browning was masterful, starting 9-for-9 and spreading the ball around.

The two rivals have split the first two games, with the Panthers winning at home in 2016 and the Nittany Lions returning the favor during a 33-14 win in September. Gaskin rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns of his own, but it just wasn't enough. Washington did its best to make it interesting, though, scoring and getting the two-point conversion to make it 30-22.

"I would like to play (against) something we've seen a whole bunch of where you get those carry over reps", Petersen said, per Business Insider. To be fair, they haven't played many great teams this season, but the Washington program has prided itself on a strong defense for years. He bounces off, runs through hard tackles, really powerful.
