According to The New York Times, which first published the allegations against the comedian, comedy duo Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov said the comedian had invited them to his hotel room for a nightcap after their late-night show in 2002. His "unprofessional and inappropriate behavior with female colleagues has led us to decide not to produce a second stand up special, as had been planned".

Ahead of the article's publication, C.K.'s frequent collaborator Pamela Adlon reluctantly commented on the rumors about C.K.in an interview with KCRW's The Business conducted by The Hollywood Reporter editor-at-large Kim Masters, who also hosts the radio show.

On Friday morning, Louis confirmed that the accusations were true and he admitted that he "abused power" that he had over women. Actor and comedian Louie C.K. has broken his silence after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced. "Hi. I'm here. I have to say something".

Louis C.K., through his publicist, Lewis Kay, declined to respond to The Times regarding the allegations. "I learned yesterday the extent to which I left these women who admired me feeling badly about themselves and cautious about other men who would never have put them in that position".

"I'd be remiss to exclude the hurt that I've brought on people who I work with and have worked with whose professional and personal lives have been impacted by all of this", he said.

The 50-year-old comedian concluded that he will, quote, "now step back and take a long time to listen". But in interviews, Adlon said she saw it differently, and thought that her character went along with the kiss.
