Pixel 2 XL touchscreen has dead spots around the edges

Some Pixel 2 XL touchscreens are unresponsive near the edges, but a fix is coming

Some Google Pixel 2 XL smartphones cannot register taps along the edges of the display

The Google Pixel 2 XL is among the top-end smartphones launched this year, although being a premium device does not guarantee that problems would never occur.

Apart from this, one of the Pixel 2 XL users uploaded a video on Youtube, showing the unresponsive touch at the corners of the device by using a display tester app. An owner took to the Pixel User Community forum a few weeks ago to complain about his unit's unresponsiveness along the edges of the display. The original poster noticed that while sliding his finger along the screen's edges worked as expected, his taps along the edges were not always registered.

The bad news is that if you didn't drop $159 back in early October, sight-unseen, and now you're regretting that decision, it'll be over a month until new Pixel Bud orders start shipping, according to Google's retail site.

Bucs snap 5-game losing streak, top Jets 15-10
The Jets would tie the game before halftime, marching down the field 51 yards for a 47-yard field goal by Chandler Catanzaro. The Jets held the ball for three minutes, taking the ball 65 yards down the field and turned the ball over on downs.

He also thinks that the fault lies with Google's accidental touch protection software.

The lack of response from tapping the screen edges is just one of the many issues that appeared upon the release of Google Pixel 2 XL. "Google is well aware of the issue, and a fix will be rolled out shortly", the spokesperson said.

Orrin, a Pixel 2XL Community manager, posted on the Forums, that the Pixel team is already investigating and addressing the problem in an upcoming over-the-air update.
