Apart from Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, "Padmavati" also feature Jim Sharb and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles.

Mr Bhansali, had been assaulted by activists of a Rajput community group, the Karni Sena, during the shooting of the film in Jaipur in January.

Senior Karni Sena leaders, including founder Lokendrasinh Kalvi and national president Mahipalsinh Makrana, joined Gandhinagar protest.

MLB Rumors: Marlins Talking Giancarlo Stanton Trade With These Four Teams
The addition of the 28-year-old slugger would fill a big void the Red Sox have tried to address since David Ortiz retired in 2016. The four-time All-Star is coming off a banner 2017 regular season in which Stanton smashed 59 home runs and 132 RBIs.

Asked when the film will receive the certification, Andhare said, "We are looking at CBFC to do it soonest, to facilitate the planed release on 1 December".

Recently, Gujarat BJP sent a letter to the Election Commission opposing the release of the film ahead of the election, saying the movie hurt the sentiments of the community.

"There is anger among the people of Haryana, like many other states, regarding the film glorifying the negative character of Alauddin Khilji rather than our own rich history", the Haryana industries and commerce minister said. "Were the Rajputs not this concerned?" he asked, adding, "These protests must stop".

When is the film likely to be certified? From the destruction of the movie set to BJP members seeking a ban on the film, the Supreme Court of India finally rejected all pleas of banning the movie on November 11.The apex court, however, feels it can not intervene in this topic since the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is yet to provide the certification of the movie Padmavati. They know which film should be passed and which should not. "I am neither supporting nor opposing the film", he said.
