Shooting near CA elementary school leaves three dead, sheriff says

Three people are dead following a shooting at a school in rural Northern California, say authorities. Children as young as 6 are among the wounded.

A six-year-old child with two gunshot wounds was reportedly taken by helicopter to a hospital. All remaining students have been relocated to a secure location, he said. "I am told the suspected shooter is deceased from law enforcement bullets,".

She reported seeing a Honda drive by with the windows shot out. "We have at least 5 scenes right now", the deputy said.

Multiple students have been transported after an "active shooter situation" at an elementary school in Tehama County, officials said.
