Pradyuman case: CBI denies allegations of accused's father

The wife of bus conductor Ashok Kumar, the driver held by the Haryana police for the murder of 7-year-old Pradyuman at the Ryan International School demanded justice and proper investigation, while accusing the school administration of hatching a conspiracy against her husband.

As per Hindustan Times report, the teenager has even accused the CBI investigators of torturing and abusing him.

While the police team had apprehended Ashok Kumar, who was working as a conductor in the school bus for the murder, the CBI investigation gave him a clean chit and detained the juvenile who studies in the same school.

The agency is trying to investigate the case from a different angle as they are probing whether another student helped the accused boy in allegedly murdering Pradyuman or in destroying evidence, reported the TOI.

In another twist to the Ryan International School murder case, the juvenile who had earlier confessed to the killing of Class 2 student Pradhyumn Thakur has retracted from his confession.

The investigating agency suspects a knife believed to be the murder weapon was planted on the conductor; Ashok Kumar's family has alleged that he was tortured and forced to confess to a crime he didn't commit.

A report also said the boy is said to have alleged the investigators beat him up and recorded the confession in their own words, however, a CBI spokesperson refused to comment. "There were many clues which a cop won't normally miss", a CBI officer said on Monday.

"The CBI officials/ investigating officer has openly flouted the orders of the board, whereby this board had specifically directed the CBI officials to conduct enquiry of the juvenile delinquent between 10 am to 6 pm during the course of enquiry for three days. The above observations of this board has been clearly been violated by the CBI", he pointed out. However, the father later claimed that his child is innocent. The minor accused admitted his crime saying that he had killed Pradyuman to delay the exams and parent-teacher meeting.
