Arkansas quarterback Cole Kelley has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless driving, coach Bret Bielema announced Monday. Bielema said he sent Kelley in because the offense was looking for a "spark" in hopes of rallying from what was a 26-10 deficit. "Social media and everything else around, he's going to be held to a higher standard".
"The blessing that you give can also be your biggest burden, so he's going to have to do a lot of growing up in a short amount of time".
According to the report filed by the Fayetteville Police Department, Kelly, the 20-year-old redshirt freshman, was booked at 8:47 AM on Sunday, November 12, after being arrested. He completed 13 of 23 passes for 140 yards, while Kelley connected on only 3 of 10 passes for 36 yards with an interception. He started four games earlier this season in place of the injured Austin Allen, who will start against Mississippi State. He completed 19 of 30 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns in that game, and was named SEC Freshman of the Week for his effort.

Police reports indicate that Kelley was pulled over around 4 AM after an officer witnessed Kelley driving with his tires on the curb. Storey played three times past year, in games against Texas State, Alcorn State and Auburn, completing one of four passes for three yards.
"He didn't play good enough for us to win", Enos said.
Sophomore Ty Storey will likely serve as Allen's backup moving forward.
