Moyes took charke of West Ham last week after the dismissal of Slaven Bilic.

West Ham have dropped into the relegation zone with nine points after two wins, three draws and six defeats, and Moyes said his first task was to get three points in what will be his 500th EPL game as manager.

The East London club are now languishing in 18th position on the League standings after taking just nine points from their opening 11 games of the season and could face the threat of relegation should things not improve soon. I thought he looked like the sort of player you would never be keen to play against, if you're a right-back, because of his power and strength and what he can do.

"Obviously, every manager is different and does things in different ways, and the boys have enjoyed training, doing different activities in the sessions he has put on".

He said: "I haven't got time for anyone who says: 'I can't get back from global duty.' Well, don't think you're playing this weekend then".

"I could do all that, but I think now it's time to stop talking like that and start talking about what's coming next". He needs to be a team player.

"But he has to be a team player".

"You want players who take responsibility, who dig each other out and who communicate and I've seen that here". The clips I have seen at times, he has not looked a team player.

"I watched him a lot at Stoke". Because of the level it's at we're not sure.

The new manager is acutely aware that he must seize the opportunity he has been granted in returning to the Premier League's coalface following the dismissal of Slaven Bilic, and his own hard spell at Sunderland, and there is a renewed determination to make his mark.

"Players want accountability on the field and off". I will tell them what I want on the field, but within that they have to take responsibility.

"They are all well-paid".

Moyes also insisted he would not stand for players blaming Bilic for what had gone wrong in the first 11 games, of which they won only two.
