The owner of a home in the 3200 block on Ellwood Road called the police on Sunday, who then found the infant's body hidden in a crawlspace outside.
"Once again, she has an 8-year-old child as well at this time, so she is familiar with being pregnant", Lt. Eric Hermick said.
That homeowner was putting up Christmas lights and running a wire under the porch when they found a bag.
She delivered a son and got out of the bathtub and held the baby, but said she didn't notice the baby having a heartbeat or pulse, according to the police account.
"Laws protect mothers who have babies who don't want them", Hermick said.
After searching the home, police charged Brittany Robinson with homicide, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the death of a child. Check back for updates. The criminal complaint said nobody in her house was aware of her pregnancy either.

Robinson went a hospital Sunday for treatment related to childbirth.
'This baby was in excellent physical condition.
Police say Robinson's family is cooperating with authorities. As of Monday, it was unclear if she had entered a plea to the charges. According to Hermick, authorities are still determining what caused the baby's death, whether it was "some exterior cause" or a natural passing.
Hemrick also indicated that the state of Pennsylvania gives women the legal option to drop off unwanted babies at several locations, such as fire departments, police stations, or a hospital. Here's a case here where, quite frankly, the baby looks like it was fine and just left to die'.
But cops found evidence in the house of "prior knowledge Brittany did know she was pregnant prior to giving birth", a police affidavit says.
According to the complaint, the crawlspace has a removable door and Robinson's father initially found the child. She was arraigned on Monday and denied bond, according to online court records.
