Starting LB Joe Walker out for Eagles; Seahawks down 2 DLs

Carson Wentz's fumble out of end zone bounced every which way to give the Seahawks a touchback

The Eagles had been averaging a league-best 31.9 points per game, but the Seahawks held Wentz and a season-low scoring total despite allowing 425 yards.

A holding call on Alshon Jeffery went a long way toward taking four points off the board, coming as it did at the tail end of an 11-yard run by LeGarrette Blount that would have given the Eagles a first down near the Seahawks goal line (instead, they ended up backed up on the 14).

Wentz was stripped by Sheldon Richardson just before crossing the goal line and the ball bounced out of the end zone for a touchback.

Frank Clark provided some good pressure early including a third-down sack of Wentz in the first quarter. A chance to take the NFC East title and strengthen their hold of the No. 1 seed in the NFC fell by the wayside, and the Seahawks reminded the Eagles of their own mortality in a 24-10 drubbing on Sunday Night Football. Doug Baldwin was ridiculous as always, catching five passes for 84 yards. After a long throw down the field almost resulted in a touchdown for Doug Baldwin, the Seahawks punched it in from the one-yard line and took a commanding lead late in the third quarter. He again looked like somebody who's going to be in the MVP conversation at the end of the season, improvising masterfully - heck, unbelievably at times - in completing 20 of 31 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns, and rushing for another 31 yards.

Packers expect Aaron Jones to play behind Jamaal Williams
Brett Hundley and the Packers offense have needed the defense to bail them out this season, since Aaron Rodgers injury. Getting shut out and not being able to complete too many long passes are not good signs for the QB.

Without their three Pro Bowlers on defense, the Seahawks are leaning harder than ever on Wilson. If Wilson had tried to dodge traffic against that all-out blitz, he wouldn't have escaped. The Seahawks are one game behind the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC West lead and tied with the Carolina Panthers for one of the two wild-card spots, one game ahead of the Atlanta Falcons.

Wentz's astounding accuracy, the defense's dominance and the Eagles' jubilant celebrations that emerged week after week for the past two months were nowhere to be found in Seattle. They have an MVP candidate and a coach who has consistently out-schemed teams in the second half, both of which bode well for when things get chippy in the playoffs. Wentz threw for just 45 yards in the first half, his fewest in any game this season.

Entering the week, the Eagles were the NFL's most efficient scoring team in the red zone. Lockett's first touchdown of the season was set up by a 47-yard Baldwin reception in which Baldwin's foot dragged out of bounds just shy of the end zone. The Eagles (10-2) dropped into a dead heat with the Vikings (10-2) for the top seed in the NFC. They did it earlier this season, in Week 5 against the Rams.
