Netflix announced early Tuesday morning that "as a result of ongoing discussions" the company made a decision to write Masterson's character off the show. In March, the LAPD disclosed that it began looking into Masterson in late 2016 after three more women accused him of raping them in the early 2000s.

Masterson has been accused of rape by multiple woman, and the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating.

Season 3 of "The Ranch" is scheduled for release on Netflix in 2018.

The series stars Masterson and fellow That '70s Show alum Ashton Kutcher as well as Debra Winger and Sam Elliott. The 10-episode second half of Season 2 of The Ranch with Masterson in it will be released on December 15.

The streaming service responded to this in a statement calling Yeatman's remarks "careless, uninformed, and do not represent the views of the company". Masterson denies the allegations and says the encounters were consensual.

"While he was coaching a youth soccer match today, Mr. Yeatman ― a Netflix kids' programming executive ― was approached by a stranger who did not identify herself or explain her connection to Danny Masterson", Netflix told HuffPost in a statement.

His attorney provided the statement to HuffPost: "In this country, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty". A woman filed a police report to that end in 2004 related to a 2003 incident, but the case went nowhere.

He added that he looks forward to clearing his name "once and for all", but thanked his fans and the cast and crew of the show, wishing them "nothing but success".

The decision to part ways with Masterson comes one day after Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos confirmed that original drama House of Cards would resume production in 2018 on a sixth and final season, this one set to star Robin Wright, but not her onscreen partner Kevin Spacey.

'The Church of Scientology has no practice or policy forbidding the reporting of criminal wrongdoing allegedly committed by Scientologists or anyone else, nor does the Church expel, let alone punish, members to report crimes, ' said a spokesperson in a statement.

Danny Masterson has been written out of the Netflix series "The Ranch" following multiple rape allegations against the actor.
