Studio drops John Travolta's crime movie Gotti 10 days before release

Producers of John Travolta's "Gotti" have bought back the movie from Lionsgate, which had planned to release the mob biopic on December 15 through its Lionsgate Premiere specialty division.

Home Movies John Travolta "Gotti" Movie, with 38 Producers Listed, Sleeps with the Fishes. It also features Travolta's wife Kelly Preston as the crime lord's spouse Victoria Gotti, and their daughter Ella Bleu Travolta as Angel Gotti, as well as Pruitt Taylor Vince, Stacy Keach, Chris Mulkey and Lydia Hull.

No reason has been given for the move thus far, but we shall keep you informed.

Lionsgate did not explain to Entertainment Weekly why it chose to not distribute "The Life and Death of John Gotti" when it sold it back to Emmett/Furla/Oasis.
