The fire was first reported around 5 a.m.at the northbound 405 at Mulholland Drive.
The devastating blaze destroyed at least 30 homes and prompted mandatory evacuations that affected an estimated 150,000 residents, according to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
The area is in the vicinity of the devastating 1961 "Bel Air fire" that destroyed about 500 homes. It's unclear if the fire is burning the vineyard or the house as well. Officials have also closed the 405 freeway in both directions, as the fire rages in the hills along the Getty Center exit.

It was reported at six acres but quickly grew to at least 50 acres as crews were working against 25 miles per hour winds. Reporter Christina Salvo says the smoke is so thick on Casiano Drive that "we couldn't see the flames. we were seeing firefighters on peoples' balconies with firehoses trying to drench the vegetation below".
