SpaceX's new “Falcon Heavy” rocket to carry Tesla Roadster to Mars

A SpaceX official has confirmed that the Tesla payload is real and expected to launch to Mars' vicinity on the Falcon Heavy in a launch slated for the same Florida launchpad that sent NASA's Apollo astronauts to the moon. Frequently promised for 2017, that expectation has now formally been delayed into the New Year.

Musk said the vehicle will be playing David Bowie's "Space Oddity" while it heads toward Mars orbit.

SpaceX has revealed the updated schedule for Falcon Heavy's debut flight.

John Oliver Grills Dustin Hoffman on Sexual Harassment Statement
A second woman, producer Wendy Riss Gatsiounis , later told Variety that Hoffman propositioned her during a 1991 meeting. While many others have been completely tarnished or fired due to allegations, Hoffman has seemed to remain unscathed.

Musk said a year ago that there was too little cooperation between Tesla and Space Exploration Technologies justify merging the two, dismissing the idea that had been raised by one of Jonas's colleagues as "quite tenuous".

Launching something into orbit really is "rocket science" and such activity is often affected by technology challenges each of which have to be tested and the road to launch near-perfection is littered with the history of lost rockets, and sometimes their cargo.

The auto will be on board the "Falcon Heavy", which is now the largest commercial rocket in existence and possibly only rivalled by the massive moon mission Apollo rockets that flew in the 1960s and 70s. In 2020 at the original SpaceX demo launch of the Dragon spacecraft, Elon Musk released a large cheese wheel in honour of Monty Python's legendary "Cheese Shop" sketch. That date has slipped, not least because of early problems with the Falcon 9's engine cluster, and launch failures.
