Despite her tragic fall in UFC, Rousey was a pioneer for women in the world of mixed martial arts, starting her career with a 12-0 record, besides becoming one of the biggest pay-per-view attractions.

Rousey, the first and former UFC women's bantamweight champion, is nearing a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment, according to USA Today.

Ronda Rousey's Ultimate Fighting Championship career effectively ended previous year, when she was beaten by Amanda Nunes inside 48 seconds.

That led to speculation that an official appearance is imminent, perhaps at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans on April 8.

"I wouldn't want to see it", White said last week.

Dead & Company Postpone Remainder of Fall Tour
All tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates, the info of which should be released in the coming weeks. The Dead & Company concerts scheduled for December 7 in Orlando and December 8 in Sunrise are postponed.

Great vignette. I didn't know what to expect when I saw Baszler compete in the Mae Young Classic, but she thoroughly impressed me. She's got enough money and all that stuff. Shayna Baszler gave up mixed-martial arts in favour of pro-wrestling, and is now signed to the WWE after finishing second in the company's women-only Mae Young Classic tournament earlier this year. "I don't want to see it happen".

Sources close to the situation confirmed on Wednesday that Rousey has engaged in numerous conversations with WWE about joining the promotion but no contracts have been signed at this time. Rousey has been in a number of TV and movie projects, including The Expendables 3 and Fast 7, plus ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, and she has regularly appeared on shows like Ellen and even hosted Saturday Night Live.

If WWE didn't want to wait until WrestleMania 34 on April 8, then Rousey could appear at the 2018 Royal Rumble on January 28 at the Wells Fargo Center. UFC president Dana White counts Rousey as a personal friend, and said he believes there is little she can gain from taking to the octagon again.

"She is looking for the opportunity so it seems like the ideal matchup". Once the UFC added women's fighting the whole thing became more professional.

Rousey, who hasn't had an MMA fight since December 2016, has offered indications that she was interested in the WWE.
