Bungie Will Address Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris' Prometheus Lens Rifle Bug

One of Destiny 2's new Exotic weapons is ridiculously overpowered due to a bug

According to reports, with the arrival of the expansion in Destiny 2, the minimum level to deal with some activities has increased (to reflect the new level cap introduced). Prestige is a higher level and more constrained time limits. At least for their more exciting Prestige variants.

Curse of Osiris raises the power level cap from 305 to 330, and naturally that means the game's stiffest challenges are being buffed to challenge powered-up players. Both have been raised to a 330 recommended Power Level.

In addition, you'll also need the DLC to access the heroic strike playlist, which returns to Destiny 2 as part of the DLC.

Since the release of "Curse of Osiris" yesterday, players have found that the Exotic Trace Rifle practically shreds anything in player versus player (PvP) play.

In other words, the highest level content in Destiny 2 has been removed from the base game and added to the DLC.

While it's understandable that endgame activities will shift with the living game and require the latest expansion, it's up to the developer to maintain a balance if they are going to split the playerbase with paid additional content.

Bungie has yet to make an official statement on the matter.

Destiny 2, having been developed by Bungie, has only been out for three months, and only 43 days on PC.
