Giving X-Men fans the first look at Sophie Turner looking hotter than ever as Jean Grey aka The Phoenix, who unleashed the dormant Phoenix force in the climatic final moments of last year's X-Men: Apocalypse.
One of the most beloved comic book stories in the history of superhero comics, "The Dark Phoenix Saga" took the X-Men into space where Jean Grey came face to fiery face with the cosmic force that is the Phoenix. Sophie Turner is featured on the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly and it's our first look at Jean Gray's turn to the dark side.
For Turner, stepping into the lead role was a big challenge.
As well as showing Sophie Turner in full CGI as the Phoenix, we also get our first look at Jessica Chastain's unnamed mutant villain and a look at the opening five minutes of the film - which is supposedly set in space. The team will consist of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Quicksilver (Evan Peters), with Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) again leading the team.

Drawn in part from the original "Phoenix" comic storyline, the film will apparently be the most sinister and somber entry in the series, and includes a "massive twist halfway through that will irrevocably change the course of the franchise", according to EW.
