Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker carried off court with strained left abductor

Game preview: Toronto Raptors vs. Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker Carried Off Court With Groin Injury

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the Suns 126-113 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.

Phoenix could turn to rookie Josh Jackson or backup shooting guard Troy Daniels to start in place of Booker. Booker grabbed his groin immediately and froze at midcourt. He had to be carried off the court by his fellow teammates.

Losing a key player like Booker for any period of time can't be good for Phoenix, but at least it's a short-term injury as opposed a long term absence.

Booker is averaging 24.3 points, 4.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this year.

"It's tough", Suns center Greg Monre said".

In a text message, Scolamieri said that the barns on the lower side of the property "appear to be gone". Mandatory evacuations were ordered in the area of West Lilac Road and Sullivan Middle School.

"I've seen guys get carried off and play the next day and guys not", Triano said.

Booker has come into his own after being selected 13th in the 2015 Draft. He has also improved his field-goal percentage from 42.3 to 45.3 and three-point percentage from 36.3 to 38.3 from last season to this one in the early going.

The Suns are pretty terrible this season, but they've actually shown little signs of competitiveness from time to time.

According to the announcement, Booker underwent an MRI and further evaluation to determine the recovery period.
