Kate McKinnon, mistress of impressions, added another to her rotating roster.
"I was listening to the audiobook, walking on the Manhattan streets, and I heard my name and was like, [fake cries]", she told Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday's Tonight Show. After joking that the "Wonder Woman" star is "not that special", McKinnon shared what an "impact" Gadot really made during her time on the show.
Gadot said she was proud to bestow the award. "Everything she said was magic".
McKinnon is well-known for her celebrity impressions, specifically her take on Hillary Clinton. I love to watch my children run in the sand. "We talked to her a lot and we realized, 'Oh, okay, now we are Midwestern toads compared to this Mediterranean goddess", she said.
What did you think of McKinnon's Gadot? I love to go to the Maldives...
Metro Exodus New Trailer Released
The trailer opened with voice over, "There's no one out there Artyom, no one to help us, no one to hear us", said a female voice. There is no arguing that Metro: Exodus will be on the graphical showcase titles of 2018.
The actress appeared at the Hollywood Reporter's 2017 Women in Entertainment breakfast to present that lucky individual with a four-year, full-ride Wonder Woman Scholarship to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
McKinnon, star of the upcoming computer-animated comedy Ferdinand, also showcased her voice acting skills - particularly her expertise with assorted exertion sounds.
Gadot even coaxed the SNL staff to reveal personal secrets during the show's weekly host dinner. "She sat down and she was like, 'I want everyone to go around the table and say something they've never told anyone, '" McKinnon recalled.
Carla, whose mentor is Mandeville Films exec Laurie Zaks, was surprised by Gadot's appearance and had the crowd laughing when she took the stage: "I knew something was up!"
