Actress accuses Dustin Hoffman of molesting her offstage

Rossetter wrote, that their working relationship began well after Hoffman helped her get the role, her first on Broadway.

An outpouring of sexual assault allegations in the U.S. entertainment, media and political worlds began in October with claims against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by more than 100 women of behavior ranging from intimidation to rape. The actress wrote she had to laugh on cue from off stage, which is where she said Hoffman would take advantage of her. "If you've given no evidence to show it didn't (happen) then there was a period of time for a while when you were a creeper around women".

Included in the story is a photograph of Hoffman cupping her breast, something Rossetter claims he nearly always did whenever they posed together for a picture. Six to eight shows a week.

Alec also offered up his thoughts on his filmmaker pal James Toback, who has been accused of sexual harassment and assault by more than 30 women in recent weeks, admitting he can not understand why any man would force themselves upon a woman. Once inside, he asked for a back massage. She said Mr. Hoffman chose moments to violate her when she couldn't speak for fear of the audience hearing her.

"He kept it up and got more and more aggressive", said the actress, who said Hoffman tried to digitally penetrate her on one occasion. "One night", she says, "he actually started to stick his fingers inside me". "Night after night I went home and cried", Rossetter wrote. "I would stop at his calves", Rossetter wrote.

"How", Rossetter recollects thinking, "could the same man who fought to get me the job, who complimented my work, who essentially launched my career, who gave me the benefit of his wisdom as an actor, how could he also be this sexual power abuser?" Was I doing something?

Hoffman's reps declined to comment when THR reached out but his lawyer did put the THR in touch with other people who worked on the production with Rossetter and Hoffman.

"It just doesn't ring true", production stage manager Tom Kelly said.

Once, Rossetter alleges, Hoffman even pulled her slip up, revealing her body and breasts to the crew who'd gathered to witness his idea of a joke.

"Given my position, it's insulting to say this kind of activity would go on to the extent of sexual violation", Kelly said. Anna Graham Hunter claimed last month that Hoffman groped her and made inappropriate remarks to her in 1985 on the set of the TV film Death of a Salesman.

According to The Washington Post, Hoffman referenced Tootsie as he said: "I would not have made that movie if I didn't have an incredible respect for women", Hoffman said.
