Hyperkin is working on a standalone Game Boy remake
The peripheral manufacturer is now working on an updated version of the classic Game Boy tentatively called the Ultra Game Boy. According to Gizmodo , the device features all of the classic Game Boy controls that you remember, but with a few upgrades.

"New wrinkles in tennis gameplay will challenge your ability to read an opponent's position and stroke to determine which shot will give you the advantage", Nintendo says in the game's brief synopsis.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is out on the Nintendo Switch this summer. The sport title will be released this spring and promises to be a multiplayer go-to game, but with a single-player story mode too.
