A California woman who had bought a Christmas tree from Costco went back to return it on January 4, demanding a refund because she claimed that the tree was "dead".

A picture accompanying the post showed a woman with a red "X" over her face standing with a dead Christmas tree at the Costco customer service counter. The woman who brought in the fir back 10 days after the festival demanded a full refund claiming that the tree was dead.

He shared the photo on Facebook, writing: "I can't make this stuff up". One man expressed his disbelief on Facebook, which was multiplied when, according to him, she got her money back.

"We will cancel and refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied", says Costco's return policy on membership.
