Ordinarily the revisions to the Ford Edge for the 2019 model year would be characterized as an extensive freshening-updates to the exterior, interior, and electronics, but no changes to the basic sedan-derived architecture: chassis dimensions and structure carry over. Like the Sport, the Edge ST will also be standard all-wheel drive, but like the rest of the refreshed lineup the ST will come with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. But it should handle with loads more poise and panache.
That motor puts out 335hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. It's safe to assume that the Edge ST will be cheaper than speed-merchant SUVs from Porsche, Jaguar Land Rover, Audi, Maserati, and others.
It is the first Ford SUV to have been tuned by Ford Performance, who are of course the same people who designed and built the GT supercar. By contrast, the Ford Edge ST seems a bit half-hearted and restrained.
And in the Edge Sport, it provided 315 horsepower.

Pricing for the Edge ST hasn't been announced, but the current Edge Sport starts at $41,670, so it will likely sticker for least that much. Drivers can also manually shift using the steering wheel-mounted SelectShift paddle shifters while firmly positioned in unique Edge ST seating with additional bolstering.
