In recent years, Square Enix has made an impeccable effort in officially bringing each game in its Final Fantasy series to Microsoft Windows. The game will run at 60 FPS and is compatible with 21:9 ultra-wide monitors.

As for the unlockables, all three background music options will be unlocked from the start of the game. The new functionality added will grant players max License Points and Gil from the configuration screen, and there will be full controller support, Steam Trading Cards and more to optimize the PC player experience.

Square Enix's schedule is well known to most gamers.

This is another addition for PC fans who like the Final Fantasy franchise. There's also a New Game Plus and New Game Minus mode, and Post-game content modes are now accessible from the beginning of the game. Don't worry, as always there are plenty of Final Fantasy characters to go around for everyone.

Hiroaki Kato, the producer, and Takashi Katano, the director, will answer fans' Twitter questions and talk about the game and PC features.

It's likely that this is what the new SKU would be about, but we don't exactly have confirmation yet from Square Enix, so, until we do, then it's just speculation as to what this new version of the game would be. The publisher has announced that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, the recent PS4 remaster of the classic PS2 title, will be released on the platform via Steam early next month, on February 1.

Unfortunately, there is no word on how much the game will cost yet, but the remastered PS4 version was $49.99 at its launch.
