The first official pic of the Venom movie is here, and it's... fine? But wait! Enhance!

But, now, the first official still from the new Venom have been shared online with ING, showing Tom Hardy in his role as Venom's alter-ego Eddie Brock.

If you don't know, Venom is a Symbiote who needs to bond with a human for survival. The pages include questions like "So how exactly does the Life Foundation go about testing its pharmaceuticals?" and "What about the allegations your empire is built on?".

The film takes place in San Francisco and Fleischer drew primary inspiration from two comic runs, Lethal Protector-which saw Venom moving to San Francisco where he tackles five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote-and Planet of the Symbiotes, where Earth is invaded by an army of symbiotes.

As an explanation, Entertainment Weekly writes, "The Life Foundation appeared in the comics as an organization believing that the Cold War would culminate in a nuclear holocaust".

At an IGN event in Brazil, Hardy teased fans with what they could expect from his turn as Eddie Brock/Venom.

Given that Hardy is one of global cinema's most intense, charismatic and unpredictable stars, and that the film's supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, and Jenny Slate, the R-rated Venom is shaping up to be one of the fall's most-anticipated films, even if it's not officially part of the MCU.

Hardy is a tremendous actor, and he's joined in the film by four-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, and Jenny Slate. Introduced in 1988 in The Amazing Spider-Man #298, Drake is the head of the Life Foundation, and instrumental in capturing Venom and extracting the five other symbiotes from him. He was himself injected with the serum and transformed into a monstrous Homo Arachnis.
