While the company is expected to come out with the U12 flagship in the first half of 2018, it was reported that HTC will kick off the new year by launching a mid-range smartphone that will join its U11 lineup. It's asking fans on Weibo to keep their eyes open and save the date. New rumors suggest that HTC is all set to launch yet another mid-range phone in the form of U11 EYEs.
Like the other HTC U series phones from the company, the U11 EYEs will be lacking a 3.5mm audio jack.
It's only a few months ago that the midrange HTC U11 Life was unveiled and it appears the company is getting ready to launch another midranger dubbed HTC U11 EYEs. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 chipset and will come with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and feature a 6-inch FHD+ display. There are minimal borders along the sides, but quite a significant bezel on the top and bottom.
Meanwhile, the upcoming handset will allegedly also boast an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, HTC's Edge Sense (which will let you squeeze the phone to control some elements), and Android Nougat on board. It is available in the color variants red, black, and silver.
