Gov. Rick Scott declares UCF national champions

There's only one way to settle this dispute, and that's on the field. And you know UCF fans would love a piece of big, bad Bama.

UCF fans continued to troll the college football world when they put up a billboard asking Alabama for a home and home series.

But the Knights beat both Auburn and Georgia this season.

The sign reads, "Congratulations Alabama!"

Soren Petro, a radio show host in Kansas City, inexplicably gave UCF their lowest ranking at No. 10 behind teams such as Auburn (which UCF obviously beat head-to-head) and Miami (which lost their home bowl game).

The news sent the shares of MoneyGram ( MGI ) up more than 11% and the price of XRP up more than 3%, according to Coindesk.

In the week following UCF's Peach Bowl victory there has been significant debate about whether the Knights should be considered national champs.

The Alabama Crimson Tide won their fifth national championship in nine seasons Monday night when they defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 26-23 in an epic College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

But the real reason this is amusing is because it's so upsetting to all the hardos out there who refuse to recognize the fact that UCF had the best season in college football, at least on paper.

The Tide received 57 of 61 first-place votes. In addition to the highest season-ending ranking, it was the highest ranking UCF has ever achieved in the AP Top 25. Head coach Scott Frost left the school to coach at Nebraska, which is his alma mater.
