Due to launch in the United Kingdom on March 17, Mini's core models now come with front and rear LED lights as standard and optional matrix LED high beams. The engine range has been improved for better efficiency.
MINI has unveiled the updated 2019 MINI Cooper hardtop 2 door, 4 door and convertible models, which are going to debut next week at the Detroit Auto Show. There are now three new exterior colours - Emerald Grey metallic, Starlight Blue metallic and Solaris Orange metallic added to its palette.
All MINIs will now come as standard with LED headlights and taillights, and the tail lights come with a new "Union Jack" graphic (just in case we forget MINI's roots are British) and there's also optional Adaptive headlights with Matrix beam.
However the Mini One (which does get a new engine in the form of a detuned version of the Cooper's 1.5), won't be part of the South African line-up any more, which is sad because it was arguably the pick of the bunch.
Newities further consist of more functions for the Connected and Connected XL infotainment system (Real Time Traffic Information, Apple CarPlay), logo projection from the exterior mirror on the driver's side, wireless charging pad in the storage compartment in the center armrest, and more leather upholstery choices, interior trim, and color lines.
WWE's Triple H comments on his meeting with UFC star Ronda Rousey
Rousey has hinted at wanting to join the squared circle, and has a good relationship with Triple H and other officials in the WWE. Don't get it twisted - Enzo respects the hell outta Ronda. and even told us she's got the tools to be a kick-ass pro wrestler.
On the diesel front, the MINI range comprises three variants with outputs ranging from 95 hp to 170 hp, and each is mated to an eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Further enhancing the updated look are new 17-inch light alloy wheels in the design styles Roulette Spoke two-tone and Propeller Spoke two-tone wheels can be ordered for all three Minis. A new 8.8-inch navigation system is available, with additional features. A seven-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch is optionally available for the models MINI One, MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S and MINI Cooper D.
There's also a new three-spoke steering wheel design, while the 6.5-inch touchscreen is now standard-fit.
Prices for the updated Mini range will be revealed closer to delivery around March, with a slight increase expected.
