Zuma lists conditions for stepping down as president: report

Only party President Cyril Ramaphosa‚ his top six leaders and ANC Eastern Cape chairman Oscar Mabuyane were allowed into the palatial home located along the N2 near Mthatha.

The idea is that Dlamini-Zuma serve as Acting President until the outcome of the general elections due to take place in the second quarter of 2019.

The Mail & Guardian is reporting that Zuma has attached a set of conditions should the party ask him to resign, including the retention of his appointments to the energy and state security portfolios.

But on Tuesday night, on the eve of the meeting, Zuma announced that he would establish a commission of inquiry into state capture. "Bongo has been in the media for all the wrong reasons since he was appointed", another NEC member said.
