Conditions should begin to improve by 10 a.m.as temperatures warm above freezing, the weather service said. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 15 by 5pm. The heavy winds and snow for the Bemidji region should come after 9 p.m. Wednesday and overnight into Thursday. We may still be in the 50s on Saturday morning, but then the front will pass and temperatures will drop sharply during the day. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible. Wind chill values as low as -29. That follows a general warm-up in the region, with Bemidji hitting 33 degrees on Tuesday.

In Gainesville, the forecast calls for a 10 percent chance of light snow after noon on thursday. Shouldn't see much, if anything, in the way of snow accumulations for the lower elevations.

Monday night: A chance of snow after 2am. North wind 3 to 5 miles per hour.

Saturday, a chance of snow showers before 7 a.m., then a chance of snow between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
