The duo with the help of Sumit Yadav, Madan's nephew, had successfully got an FIR registered against themselves so that they could allegedly serve Prasad inside the jail. The duo was released from the jail on Wednesday evening after it became known that they had conspired to get an FIR lodged against them so that they could stay in the jail and be at their master's beck and call.

He was facing a total five cases in the fodder scam and the judgment in two more cases are likely to be pronounced within one month. Yadav is now undergoing 3.5 years imprisonment for corruption in a fodder scam case. To this, the judge said visitors will only be allowed following the jail manual.

"But this power is vested in the legislature", the judge who had convicted Lalu Yadav in the fodder scam case, responded.

The special CBI court of Shiv Pal Singh had on 6 January handed down three-and-a-half years prison term to Lalu in the case pertaining to illegal withdrawal of Rs89.27 lakh from Deoghar treasury between 1991 and 1994, in the second of the five fodder scam cases against him. "All the 20,000 policemen in Jharkhand will have to be deployed in the security", Lalu said, to which Singh replied that there will be no such incident.
