IL state police say there is a possible hostage situation being handled by their officers and other law enforcement agencies. A Greyhound spokesperson said 50 passengers were on the bus from Milwaukee to Chicago when an "incident" involving a possible gunman occurred at around 9:50 p.m.

The chase crossed the state border into Illinois, and ABC affiliate WISN reported that officials put spike strips on the ground to stop the bus in Wadsworth, Illinois. There have been no injuries reported.

Authorities announced the suspect was in custody after 12:30 a.m., according to WGN-TV.
