PM ET NBC Says Super Bowl Ads Nearly Sold Out Olympics sales expected to reach $900M

"When you are covering a live event, you are covering what's happening", NBC Sports EP Fred Gaudelli said at a Television Critics Association event on Tuesday.

Fred Gaudelli, left, says NBC will show national anthem protests if any happen at the Super Bowl. The Olympic Winter Games will be held from February 9-25 in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

In a separate media call, Dan Lovinger, executive vice president of advertising, said only a scant few of 's 30-second TV spots have not been sold.

NBC estimated ad sales of almost $1.4 billion for both the Super Bowl and the Olympics.

Lovinger said he expected that that February 4-Super Sunday-would set a single day record for media sold. The last time NBC had the game in 2015, advertisers paid an average of $4.5 million per spot.

The Super Bowl includes the added attraction of big-budget and often star-studded commercials that people tune in to watch.

The Karni Sena has also been reportedly demanding the resignation of Prasoon Joshi, the chairman of CBFC. This film got into a controversy after Rajput groups claimed that it distorts history.

At one point in the National Football League season, player protests against racial inequality and President Trump's attacks on them overshadowed the games themselves.

Lovinger said that advertiser demand has also been strong for NBC's telecasts of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, from February 9 to 25. Additionally controversy over players kneeling during the national anthem in protest has not come up as a concern, he said.

Yet, this is also a very different year than most for the National Anthem, largely because of players kneeling in protest of police brutality. It is meant to call attention to what the protesting players see as a pattern of racism in the treatment of African-Americans by USA police.

This year's Super Bowl will take place February 4 on NBC at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
