Quique Sánchez Flores says he wishes to remain with Espanyol

Spanish pundit Guillem Balague has well and truly put to bed rumors of a possible move from Stoke City for Espanyol manager Quique Sánchez Flores.

Quique Sanchez Flores has rejected Stoke City in order to remain as Espanyol manager.

"We like the connection (with the club), how they treat us, I like that Espanyol are growing". I am absolutely happy with my situation, I do not have to explain anything else.

"Here I have all I need".

He added: "I'm here and at no point have I said the opposite". Football brings up these kind of situations where clubs ask. here at Espanyol it is hard to move someone.

But because human trafficking occurs behind closed doors, he says better awareness and understanding are the key. The authors are all Oakland County commissioners and serve on the Oakland County Human Trafficking Task Force .

"It happened three weeks ago with Gerard Moreno, but we have to think that we are happy with Espanyol".

Talk of O'Neill departing for Stoke was quietened once Flores's name entered the discussion.

"O'Neill has still not decided whether to accept their offer as he and his assistant Roy Keane are excited by the challenge of building a new, younger Ireland squad during their European Nations Cup campaign, which starts later this year", writes Edwards.

The Spaniard had a €4m release clause in his contract which Stoke were more than willing to pay to secure the former Atletico Madrid and Valencia boss ahead of second choice Martin O'Neill, who must now return to Dublin to negotiate a new deal with the Republic of Ireland. Keane will nearly certainly join O'Neill at the Bet365 Stadium if Stoke can agree terms with them.
