The Chinese vendor displayed a series of 4K premium TVs during the trade show, but what notable was its prototype product showcased under the name "Frame TV".

Each year at CES, we've come to expect a new generation of TVs that are bigger, brighter, and clearer than the year before, and this year's show did not disappoint.

Samsung this year demonstrated that it has been able to shrink the size of the LEDs to a point where the technology makes sense for large home displays, and in particular, the company is planning to offer a 146-inch 4K unit it calls "The Wall." Addition to a higher pixel density, the TV also comes with Crystal Sound OLED technology which allows sound to emanate directly from the panel.

Samsung have just revealed their latest TV and CES 2018 and it has immediately be dubbed "The Wall". They feature LG's Picture-by-Picture technology, which can divide the long, rectangular signage into four seamless screens for landscape or portrait installations.

LG is claiming right now about its brand new television to be the world's first 88-inch, 8K, OLED display and was actually created as a design to show off what OLED technology is proficient of.

The 8K up-conversion is, likely, one small step on the path forward for TVs. It doesn't require color filters or backlighting.

You see, the Korean giant has been focusing its efforts on setting itself apart from its rivals with a number of unusual TV sets. LG's AI OLED TVs will also have Google Assistant so users can control them with voice commands.

Touted as a TV with artificial intelligence, the Samsung Q9S packs in some serious processing power to run a sophisticated AI engine that converts any format - be it 4K, FullHD, or SD - into 8K resolution through the magic of upscaling. For example, you can ask Alexa to search for movies or play Amazon content on a Fire TV.

They're all part of LG's ThinQ concept, too - which at this stage means the ability to learn your watching habits and (for the U.S. and Korea to begin with) direct Google Assistant interactivity.
