Fc Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan is being loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir until June 2020, the Catalan football club confirmed on Saturday.
Although the deal is for two and a half years, Barcelona have retained the right to sell the player to another club during that period if they receive a concrete offer to buy him, although Basksehir have the right to match that offer and make Arda their property.
At first it was established that the Turkish player was going to leave on loan for a season and a half, but they agreed to extend the assignment for an extra season.
Turkey midfielder Turan joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid, and scored 15 goals in 55 games.
Turan bid a poignant farewell to Barcelona on Saturday via Facebook.
