There's a lot to love about these sneakers if you are a gamer.
Nike has collaborated with Sony on a new pair of PlayStation-themed basketball shoes. Sorry, Xbox, maybe next time. George plays for the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder and is also an avid gamer. If you want to be the envy of all your friends and show your undying love for everything PlayStation, you'll need to mark your calendar and strike while the iron's hot.
The tongues of the shoes sport the PG (Paul George) and PlayStation logos, which illuminate and pulsate blue. The light-up "PS" logo can be found on a tongue while George's own logo is on the other.
Above you will get a good on-feet look at the Nike PG 2 Playstation courtesy of Paul George himself. Those lights will be powered by a non-replaceable 150-hour battery. The soles of the shoes are painted in a galaxy theme, mimicking the home screen of the PlayStation console. Wearers can press a button to turn on the light and there'll be a light vibration akin to the controller itself.
Oxfam: Richest 1 percent received 82 percent of wealth in 2017
An Oxfam survey found people believed the ideal ratio of the pay of those at the top and bottom of a company should be 7 to1. By comparison, nine out of 10 billionaires are men.
All in all, in terms of gaming inspiration, the PG2 is definitely an improvement over George's first signature shoe from previous year.
These are shoes that are meant for Sony's devoted fans for sure. For the latter, there's Nike's Zoom cushioning technology on the midsole, which is completed by a blue rubber outsole that glows in the dark.
"We worked directly with the PlayStation team on every aspect of this shoe".
The limited edition sneakers will be available in stores on February 10, with the price tag of a little over $100 bucks.
