Three leaders of USA Gymnastics, the national governing body for the Olympic sport, resigned under pressure Monday after months of criticism stemming from the sex-abuse scandal over former team doctor Larry Nassar.
There are many calls, including Raisman's, for a deeper investigation by USA Gymnastics and the US Olympic Committee into how Nassar's abuse was allowed to continue for so long.
Kerry Perry, president and CEO of USA Gymnastics, said in the release that the organization supports the resignations.
Prosecutors have asked for a sentence of 40 to 125 years for Nassar, who is already serving a 60-year sentence in federal prison on child pornography convictions.
"Larry is what he is, and it's evil and wicked, and he needed to be stopped", said the Louisville woman who was first to go public with the accusations of sexual abuse against Dr. Larry Nassar. The former CEO Steve Penny was forced out previous year.
Denhollander said she made the trip to MI for Nassar's sentencing.
